Usach Without Borders’ Buddies Program

USACH Sin Fronteras (USF or USACH Without Borders) is an accompanying program created in 2019 that aims to create intercultural spaces to foster the exchange of ideas and knowledge between national and international students. This program seeks to support international students during their stay at our university, in order to facilitate their integration and inclusion in the university life and in the local reality. For this purpose, together with national students who participate with us on a voluntary basis, called monitors or buddies, we organize a series of cultural and recreational activities for the students, which allow them to generate an international contact network, as well as help them to improve their intercultural awareness and competences.

The program provides different spaces of trust that allow the promotion of interculturality, student life and fellowship. We not only do cultural and extracurricular activities, but we also provide opportunities for students to obtain information regarding the processing of their immigration documents here in Chile, finding accommodation, registering subjects, guided tours of the University facilities, among others.
